We bought these curtains for our home theater, they work great keep all the light out and are the right length. I recommend buying these if your going to have your own home theater.

These block out the light completely. Machine washable (a plus) and soft. They were kind of expensive, but I think it was money well spent.

I love the feel of these curtains and it's light enough I didn't need a curtain rod I just thumb tacked it and velcroed the sides. I work graveyard shift so having my room completely dark is important, using velcro I was able to achieve complete darkness. Would buy again!

It does what it says: blackout. I am a 3rd shifter and for sleeping during daytime, this product has been great.

I like these, they are higher quality then walmart and keep the light out. Obviously some light will get in if there is a gap between the curtain rods and the wall. But that has nothing to do with the curtains. I bought a few a first to test the quality, and then ordered more for the remaining windows in my home.

Arrived on time and to my surprise it was as good as advertised. Size and color was as stated. Exceeded expectations

This curtain absolutely blocked light, especially with rods that allowed the curtain to curve at the ends back to the wall. The only exception was at the top where the rod held the curtain slightly away from the wall. I would highly recommend this product.

Drapes work well to darken room enough for home theater, esp if you keep the blinds behind them closed. They do not completely block light. This is true for 80% of panels. I had to send 2 of 10 panels back since they were translucent, not opaque. You must check each panel against the light. The two types side by side are very inconsistent.
Other reviewers commented on the wrinkle problem. I found a simple solution. Put one drape at a time in dryer with a damp washcloth and air fluff for half an hour. Then hang immediately. Wrinkles fall out and they look very nice.
Very nice, heavy material which has a texture between velvet and suede cloth.

This will certainly help darken your room. I am a 3rd shift worker and
sleep during the day. ANY light irritates me while I'm sleeping, and I just
don't like the feel of an eyemask on while I sleep. After you hang these up,
light will still come in the top, the sides and the bottom.

In order to fix the light leakage, I hung them so they drag a little on the carpet when
they are closed. That fixed the bottom leakage. I used a curtain rod that has the ends go
back toward the wall to help with the side light leakage. Look at barricade window rods by
source one global for a rod like I bought. I also used nails to tack the curtains to the wall
along the sides to prevent any remaining light from entering. Lastly, I installed cellular blinds to prevent
any light from shining through above the curtains or between the left and right curtain, since
there are no magnets on these curtains to keep the curtains closed in the middle. Almost any
magnet you find at a craft store or hardware store will not be strong enough to keep the middle
area closed. Now I can finally sleep in total darkness.

I bought five curtains for my apartment - four for the exterior windows and one for doorway between the bedroom and study. The curtains block out light completely as long as cover the entire window/doorway. They also muffle outside sounds as well as can be expected in a city apartment.

We have a sliding glass door in our bedroom and we struggled finding curtains that would cover up the whole thing and block out the light. Well, this was it! Not only does it cover the entire door and door frame, but it truly blocks out the sunlight 100%. Other than a little light peeking out the top where the curtain rod meets the wall, but really does a fantastic job.
They've been hanging in our room for a year now, and they haven't faded, still block out the sun, and actually helps hold in the heat in the winter time too!
Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some serious heavy duty black out curtains . Worth the money!
**Update: We have had these curtains hanging for three years now and they still are just as awesome as when we first bought them! No fading and just as efficient!

These curtains are exactly as said ,they do the job of insulation, black out, and noise reduction. I would recommend these to anyone.

Great velvet fabric, truly blocks light. 100% blocking! Only site that had the dark brown panels in stock. Lots of wrinkles=lots of ironing before we hung them (thank goodness for steam). Press in one direction for best results. Ironed on face medium setting per label, though I was reluctant. Turned out fine. They fold and hang nicely. Very happy with product, likely will purchase for additional bedrooms.

These drapes do a good job of keeping the light out. They are a little expensive, but they work fine.

Great quality, nice style and great for theater rooms. I have some bamboo-type blinds with a liner on the back and thought they made the room dark. These are much better!

I use this as a sound barrier and privacy curtain. It would most certainly work as a black out curtain because of its thickness. I did NOT experience wrinkling from the packaging as a another reviewer did. Great product.

I'm using these as the final layer of multiple layers for soundproofing/audio treating a room and they help with sound reduction, reflection elimination, and keep the room looking nice. If you are looking at ordering these, keep in mind that the width provided is the flat length. When you ruffle them the curtain will not be as wide. It would be nice if there was a recommended coverage width. It's the only reason I took away a star.

They worked perfect to completely block ambient street light at night and darken my room in the day time as the sun rose in the east and tried to enter the room.

Great blue color, high quality, blocks light very well. Love this drape and highly recommend to anyone who wants to block light, sound, heat, or cold.

I actually am returning the curtains because they are shorter than I would like. However, I do wish they came in a longer length because they do really block out the light perfectly.
