We live in Chicago, the epicenter of the 2013-2014 -20 degree temperature Vortex. In September of 2014, the temperature dropped down to 40 overnight and the next morning it was quite chilly in our large open front room…so chilly that my husband placed a heater in the room AND turned on the heat. I immediately thought “Oh noooo! Not ANOTHER winter of $$$ monthly gas bill for heating our home even though we have energy efficient EVERYTHING” and immediately purchased the Signature Double-Wide Velvet Blackout curtains. Did I mention that they’re thermal? Yes, they are! I tell you no matter what the quality of your windows are, on a cold day or evening, your windows are cold and the walls surrounding your windows may feel cool to the touch which cools your room. We have already noticed a temperature difference and a decrease of noise in our front room. The thermostat is not coming on as much and we’re already saving money on our gas AND electric. When you close the curtains, they block out ALL of the light and this is great for those needing sleep when the sun is visible. Not only are these heavy, soft velvet curtains absolutely stunning, they are completely worth the investment for your home. Do not hesitate. I’ve already ordered another two double-wide panels for one of the bedrooms. Fast shipping and excellent packaging and drapery pins were included too.

They are the what I expected. I purchased a duvet that is the same material and color. I am not a micro suede fan, but I like them for my bedding and curtains. They don't stain or show dirt. My problem with this product is they are over priced. Usually curtains come in sets. These came individually. I purchased two thinking I would get them in sets for both my windows.

Beautiful, heavy lined drapes. These are used on a 17 foot window and a six foot slider in the master bedroom, and look dramatic. They also do a great job of blocking the morning sun and keep the room cooler. The color is a deep burgundy.

Love, love, love these!!! I work 3rd shift and these do an excellent job keeping the light out. Make sure you get enough panels to cover window liberally. Also, if hanging the rod, make sure to hang a good 3-5 inches above top of window frame. My rod was already hung (didn't feel like adjusting) and some light (very little) does come up through top. Also, I do have white honeycomb blinds behind them hanging in the window. I do wish the color options were more variable. I would have preferred a darker gray or charcoal color to go with my decor, but I am still extremely satisfied.

I love these curtains! They totally keep the light out. They are soft and very attractive. Well worth the money. They should hold up for years because they appear to be made well and are heavy/durable.
