Important considerations when you're buying outdoor curtains:

Will your curtains be decorative, or would you like them to function as shields from the sun as well as provide privacy? Curtains are available in sheers as well as opaque fabrics. Dark fabrics will block light considerably more than light fabrics, also an important consideration, as you may not want your outdoor room to become cave-like when the curtains are closed. Consider using dark panels where sun protection is most warranted, paired with light-colored panels in other areas.
Is UV protection important to you? There are several brands of outdoor curtains, including inexpensive polyester ones, that provide UV protection.
